Customers choose what stays active when they reduce payment.
Reducing from five devices to three should never randomly disable machines. The dashboard asks the customer which workstations to deactivate before billing changes.

Increase allowance
Add device slots, update Stripe subscription quantity, and allow new machines to bind immediately after webhook confirmation.
Reduce allowance
Select machines to deactivate first, then update billing. The app shows deactivated machines a clear account-dashboard message.
Support reset
Hardware changes and legitimate moves can request a binding reset without exposing raw machine IDs.
